A few Styles of Hardcore
If hardcore continues to grow, it will get more support from the producers and a larger fan base. If that happened there will come more other sub-styles. As new sub-styles grow they can become different than then other sub-styles that also are referred as Hardcore.
Old school - this music is mostly made in the early 90’s. This style of music is the style with everything started. Dj Paul Elstak was the first famous hardcore Dj. He and a his producers made the beginning of Hardcore. Lots of piano, bouncy basses, break beats and classic Rave sounds make a number in this style.
Hardcore Breaks – This style is written in the style of old School Rave Music or break beat hardcore.
Dj’s that have this style are using very modern techniques .
Gabber – This style is the most popular in : The Netherlands, Germany, Italy and Belgium. This style have heavy Bass-drums. The melody is mostly looped or chopped.
Speedcore - In this style there are numbers with an BPM from 250 up to 1000 BPM.
This style is often featuring heavy distortion.
Terrorcore – Often has horror-related themes. Drum breaks and offbeat synths are common.

Masters of Hardcore
Masters of Hardcore is the biggest and most well-known in the gabber music record label. Founded in 1996 in Zaandam, Netherlands, MOH was set out to revive the then stagnating gabber scene, which was considered watered down and blending into other "non-purist" genres like happy hardcore and hard house. MOH was founded by American gabba DJ Rob Gee and Dutch producer J.D.A., hardcore performers such as Bass-D & King Matthew, DJ Buzz Fuzz, DJ Paul Elstak and The Masochist. The raw and straightforward sound struck a chord with the people who were fans of oldskool gabber, and soon, MOH became the number one hardcore in the world.
